Wolfpack Weekly: Community Newsletter 11/14

NEC Student plays on drums while smiling

Greetings NEC Families,

Thank you for another great week at NEC! As you probably saw, earlier this week we sent out communication regarding our co-location with Montbello Career and Technical High School (MCT). MTC students and staff will be co-located in our building next school year so that MTC can be remodeled into the first innovation hub in the Far Northeast!

I am confident that the new innovation hub will be a great addition to our community and will serve our students well. The hub will open in August 2027 and will allow students to take specialized, accelerated courses such as Aviation Pilot, Drafting and Design, and Web Design. And our students are going to be a part of the hub planning process! Just this week, our 9th graders took a survey about what they'd like to see offered at the innovation hub.

We are looking forward to welcoming MTC and sharing our amazing resources and our location with them. I will share more information about the co-location as soon as details are finalized. Please see our previous communication for more information in the meantime.

Warmly,

Jennifer Warren, Principal
