Women's HERStory Awards
The third annual Women's HERstory Awards ceremony will honor the remarkable women making history in our school district. This is an opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions of women in DPS.
Please nominate a woman on your team or in your department who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation and dedication in their role. The theme for 2025 is, “For Such A Time as This: We Rise, We Build, We Overcome.” We are celebrating women in our district who are creating innovative ways to push forward despite systemic barriers and shifting landscapes. Women who build workarounds instead of waiting for doors to open, taking control of their narratives, communities and futures. Whether it's a teacher who goes above and beyond to support students, an administrator who leads with vision and integrity or a staff member whose hard work and passion make a difference, we want to celebrate their impact.
Nominations for the Women's HERstory Awards must be submitted by March 12. Help us spotlight the incredible women in our district who are making history!

Digital Accessibility Tip: What does it mean to be digitally accessible?
In June 2021, Colorado passed House Bill 21-1110 to strengthen state discrimination laws for people with disabilities. It makes sure that everyone has access to digital content created by local government organizations, including school districts.
Digital accessibility means websites, documents and software are usable by everyone. It ensures that people with a disability including but not limited to blindness, low vision, hearing impairment or limited mobility can find and use digital information in the same way a person without a disability can. Learn more on the DPS Accessibility Information webpage. Watch for more digital accessibility tips in future issues of Team DPS Weekly.
