Thank you

Dear Educators,

As we wrap up this school year, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your incredible dedication and hard work. You’ve made a lasting impact, and now it’s time to rest and recharge—you’ve earned it!

This summer, many of you will continue growing through our professional learning opportunities, Summer Academy and Regional Summer School programs. Whether you’re teaching, learning or planning ahead, your commitment to education shines year-round.

Thank you for continued passion and investment in our students and families. Wishing you a restful and inspiring summer ahead!

Respectfully,

Dr. Tony Smith
Deputy Superintendent

The New Commons Intranet Will Launch June 27

The Commons will launch on the Thrillshare by Apptegy platform on June 27! Resources and guides for accessing and using the new website will be provided before the launch. The new site will have important information for all employees, including the Employee Space, work calendars, benefits and more. It will also have a similar structure and layout as the current website, but with an updated look and feel following website best practices. Read this memo in English or Spanish for more information. If you have any questions, email Stacy Blaylock.

Top Five Things to Know

Google Classroom Digital Accessibility

K-12

Effective June 30, all DPS educators will lose access to Google Classroom due to digital accessibility and the district's transition to Schoology for all grades K-12. Following this date, access to any data within Google Classroom, including classroom materials, assignments and practice items, will be permanently unavailable. To retain any desired content, users must copy or export resources from Google Classroom before June 30. Google Drive materials uploaded into Classroom will remain in Drive and can be uploaded into Schoology.

Use the Schoology All-In-One guide for more information, use the asynchronous course for teachers on transitioning from Google Classroom to Schoology or email your EdTech Specialist.

Reminder: Complete LEAP Feedback Survey by Friday, May 30

ECE-12

For those who haven’t had a chance to do so yet, this is a friendly reminder to complete the LEAP Feedback Survey 2024-25 by Friday, May 30.

Over the past few years, we've made some fantastic updates to the LEAP framework and evaluation cycle process. To stay in tune with our district's continuous improvement goals, we would love to hear your insights on how these changes are working out, both from our evaluators and the amazing educators being evaluated.

Your feedback is really important to us! Your voice matters to us, and we truly appreciate your input!

Amplify and CKLA/Caminos Feedback

K-5

Amplify is collecting feedback from teachers, coaches and leaders who taught, coached or led CKLA or Caminos during the 2024-25 school year.

Complete the survey that most closely matches your role with CKLA/Caminos during 2024-25:

  • Classroom teachers who taught only CKLA (but not Caminos)

  • Classroom teachers who taught both CKLA and Caminos (or only taught Caminos)

  • Coaches (STLs, Content Leads) who supported CKLA or Caminos teachers

Get Ready for a Brand New Infinite Campus

ECE-12

Infinite Campus (IC) is getting a fresh, new look, launching July 1! After this date, only the updated version will be available.

This redesign aims to improve your user experience with a more intuitive and modern layout. Explore the new interface and watch the playlist of videos to help you navigate the new look before summer break to ensure a smooth transition.
