Reminder: Lunch brought from home
Due to being extremely short-staffed, if your student is bringing lunch from home, they must bring their lunch with them when they are getting dropped off in the morning. If you need to drop off a lunch for your student, you must arrive at their scheduled lunchtime, sign in, and wait in the main office or cafeteria to give it directly to your student.
October Parent Meeting Conferences:
Cowell Teachers will be hosting Parent Meeting Conferences. This will be a group style conference where teachers will go over attendance, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. You will have current data on your student and will learn about how other typical students are performing as well as strategies to help them continue to grow.
These will be held on Tuesday, October 7th and Wednesday October, 8th at the following times:
4:00pm
5:00pm
6:00pm
Please stop by at your preferred time. If you have multiple students, plan on a different time for each class.
ECE Parent Teacher Conferences:
For our ECE parents you will be attending a one on one conference to be informed of your child’s progress. You should have received your sign up sheet and we will be sending reminders next week of your allotted time.
Interim Testing: 3rd, 4th & 5th grade:
Music Class at Cowell:
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are now participating in weekly music classes through a program called KinderBop. Many of our students had this experience last year and loved it!
Eye Love at Cowell:
We are pleased to announce that Eye Love Care, a local Optometry Eye Practice, will be visiting our school on October 8th, 9th, 10th! During their visit, they will conduct comprehensive eye exams and provide glasses to students who register, all conveniently within your school premises at no out of pocket cost!
