Steck CSC Parent Representative Needed

Greetings Steck Community:

The Steck Collaborative School Committee (CSC) is seeking 1-2 more representatives to serve on its governing board.

WHAT is a Collaborative School Committee? Great question! According to DPS, "The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) brings together families, staff and community members to create and implement a plan to promote high achievement within a school. This advisory committee works with school leaders to provide feedback and recommendations on important school decisions." Committee members include parents, school staff, and community members who work to represent their interests. Although recommendations are made via committee consensus, CSC meetings are open to all members of the Steck community!

WHEN: The committee will meet a minimum of quarterly but typically once a month, except when holidays or other school closures get in the way. We strive for a mix of in person and virtual meetings.

WHY: This is a great way to support the mission of the school and be involved in important decisions that impact your student and your family!
