School Tours Now Available |
Is your neighbor considering sending their child(ren) to Palmer ECE Center? Does your co-worker want to find the perfect fit for their three-year-old? Tell your community about Palmer ECE Center tours, offered on Tuesdays from 8am to 3pm. During these thirty-minute tours, families can get a feel for our campus, learn about the curriculum, and ask questions about enrollment. |
Accidents happen. And when they do, it's extremely helpful to have extra pants at the school. To that end, we are seeking donations of 3T, 4T, and 5T pants from parents of growing children. Contact the school to arrange a drop-off. Thank you! |

Welcome to our study on blocks! For the next few weeks, your child will be investigating types of blocks, how blocks are made, how people use blocks, and what we can build with blocks. This week, we are exploring what we already know about blocks and what kinds of questions we have. If you have blocks you'd like to lend to the class or a special connection to our topic, please let us know. Your child will be so proud to have their family join in on the fun!
SOMETHING TO CONSIDER As you help your child prepare to sleep each night, consider having a bedtime chat routine. You might ask them to tell you about their favorite part of the day, something silly that happened, or something they are excited to do tomorrow. You can add your own special questions, too. You want these questions to help your child relax and strengthen your family bonds. |
We would love to have room parents for each classroom to support with disseminating important information. If you would like to be the room parent for your child's class please complete this Google Form to express your interest.
Thank you for being willing to support your child's classroom and teacher! |
We are so excited that Halloween is approaching! This year Halloween, falls on a Saturday and we have a PD day on Friday, October 30. In order to still have an opportunity to celebrate, we are going to be holding a Trunk or Treat for students directly after school on Thursday, October 29. We will have staff in all of the exterior doorways handing out Halloween treats. Students, along with their parents, will make a lap around the building to "Trick or Treat" at all of the doors. We will also host a Trunk or Treat from 3:15 to 4pm.
In order to make this happen, we would love to ask for donations of candy and other Halloween treats such as fruit snacks, non-candy trinkets, etc. If you are willing to donate, please bring the items to the main office by October 26. The school will work to purchase whatever is needed after your donations. Thank you for being such an amazing community and we are looking forward to this celebration with you all! |
Parent-Teacher Conferences Coming Soon |
Parent teacher conferences are fast approaching on October 22 and 27 from 3:15 to 7:15pm. We are excited to get a chance for you to meet with your child's teacher and talk about how they are doing this year so far! Your child's teacher will begin scheduling with you next week, so please be on the lookout for the sign-up sheets. |
Palmer Staff Picks | Part 4 |
This week's staff pick comes to us from TJ Forlenza, School Communications Specialist. "I can still hear my second grade teacher, Mrs. Vecchio's, voice in my head reciting 'Tiki Tiki Tembo No Sarembo...' during story time. I think the sing-songy parts of the book are really fun for kids learning to sound out words." Check out Tikki Tikki Tembo, a retelling of a Chinese folktale, at your local library. |
