kudos
  • Thank you to John Boozer and the support that TJ receives from the annual All for One Golf Tournament! The Annual All For One Golf Tournament began in May 2013 as
a community fundraising service of the Southmoor Park South Neighborhood Association with a simple idea: Bring the community together around a fun golf tournament to benefit our local schools (Samuels, Southmoor, Hamilton, and Thomas Jefferson).  School System funding is continually reduced and many beneficial activities are being eliminated.  Ten years later with $35,000 in donations to our schools, the All For One Golf Tournament continues to make an impact on students and teachers in our local community.

Spartan Seniors and Families,

If you need support submitting your FAFSA or CASFA, the DSF/TJ FAFSA/CASFA Completion Workshop is on Wednesday, October 22nd. Sign Up Required! Click here to schedule an appointment! We recommend submitting your app as soon as possible- many schools have December 1 deadlines connected to Early Action Admissions. If you have submitted your FAFSA or CASFA, please complete this form. Thank you!

Seniors: In your Future Center: TJFC2026 schoology course, you will find many resources to help you with your college planning process. Please review the course updates and calendar at least weekly with your family.

College planning tasks from your Future Center schoology to work on now:

  • FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) and CASFA (CO application for non-US citizen residents) are OPEN NOW! Apply today! You complete one or the other app, not both. Even if you are not eligible for federal or state aid, many colleges use the results of the application to determine institutional aid. We recommend that all families complete the appropriate application in a timely manner for best results.

  • Some colleges required the CSS Profile as an additional Financial Aid App. Learn more here. Deadlines are typically within a few weeks of admissions deadlines.

  • Be sure to submit your Common App Transcript Request Form if you’ve applied to any colleges using the Common App. This is the only way we know to send your Transcript and Letters of Recommendation! Steps for Complete College Apps guide

Did You Know...?

Research shows that in 81% of violent incidents in U.S. schools, someone other than the attacker knew it was going to happen but failed to report it.

Typically, the information goes unreported because of fear of being a 'snitch' or that the attacker will then target the informant, thereby creating a 'code of silence'.

To penetrate this code of silence, Safe2Tell Colorado initially was founded as a 501c3 non-profit organization, incorporated to develop a statewide anonymous reporting tool available 24-hours a day to accept reports whenever a Colorado youth or concerned adult perceived a threat to their safety or the safety of others.

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind our community about this wonderful resource. We all have a responsibility in keeping our community safe. We are encouraging all staff, parents, students and community members to put this resource in their phone. Here are three ways you can access this program:

  1. Download the Safe2Tell Colorado Mobile App and submit a tip through that platform.

  2. Call: (877)542-7233

  3. Submit through their website:  https://www.p3campus.com/tipform.aspx?ID=789#

IT’S TIME TO GIVE $28 TO THE CLASS OF ‘28
It’s time to give $28 to the Class of ‘28 to help cultivate community for our students! If each family gives $28, we get close to our fundraising goals. You can give the $28 for the class of 2028 through the PTO’s Online Square Account:

https://tjhsstore.square.site/product/2028-class-donations/151.

Remember, all money raised by these events and donations will help fund an amazing after-prom event during the students’ senior year and a fun event at the end of each school year.

2029

The class of 2029 needs 1-2 parents to volunteer as Class Co-Chairs to lead the planning of fundraising and social events. Each class is expected to raise the money needed to host their After Prom and other activities senior year.  The sooner the fundraising gets started, the more choices there will be for events senior year. Parent sponsors also plan community building activities for the parents of the class of 2029.  We are successful because of your behind-the-scenes contributions, large and small. It all adds up to a stronger community. An engaged parent body shows our students that we care about them!

If you need more information, contact tjhspto@gmail.com.

It's time to give $29 to the Class of '29

Give $29 to the Class of '29 and help cultivate community for our students!
