Hello Spartan Families!
This week our 11th grade students will be taking the CMAS Science assessment. The assessment takes approximately two hours and students will return to their normal schedule once it is completed. Students can check the posters in the main lobby to see what room they are assigned to and what day they will be taking the test. Please make sure your student arrives each day with a fully charged Chromebook.
Talent show auditions will take place after school on Thursday and Friday at 3:30 pm in the auditorium
The TJ Twilight Track meet will be held next Friday from 10:30 to 5:30 pm at All City Field. If your student is interested in volunteering to work at the meet, please call them in excused absent for Friday, April 11th. Students will have to arrange their own transportation to and from the meet. They are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Students will receive a volunteer t-shirt and lunch. This is a great opportunity to support TJ Track and Field with an important fundraising event. Students who remain for the late afternoon shift (3-5:30) will receive a BOGO card from Jersey Mikes.

TJ Junior AVID recently completed their High School Heros program with Junior Achievement and Southmoor Elementary. AVID students partnered with 3 kindergarten and 3 first grade classes to teach them about financial entrepreneurship and goal making skills. Way to go, AVID!

Did You Know…?
There is one quick and easy way to help your mental health?
Cutting your social media use to 30 minutes a day lowers:
Anxiety
Depression
Loneliness
FoMO (fear of missing out)
Children and adolescents ESPECIALLY need help with this, as some of their cognitive abilities (such as emotional and behavioral regulation) are not fully developed yet.
