Happy April, Spartans!

Time is flying by! This week there will be no classes for students on Friday, April 10. This is the day that juniors will be taking the CMAS test.

Next week there will be normal classes on Monday and Tuesday, followed by PSAT/SAT testing. 9th graders will test on Wednesday, 4/15, 10th graders will test on Thursday, 4/16, and juniors will be taking the SAT on Friday, 4/17.

After the testing week, we only have four more weeks of classes before finals! Time to buckle down and finish strong!

Help Wanted!! Our two co-presidents are wrapping up their two year term at the end of this school year and we need someone to take our place for the 2026-27 school year! The job of the president (or co-presidents…much more fun with a friend), is not nearly as time consuming or intense as you may think, and on top of it all, it’s so rewarding to see all of the ways that PTO helps our TJ community! Curious, but not sure what the job entails? No problem! Here is a brief description of the role:  Commitment of Two years, 1-2 hours/week working on the weekly newsletter update and creating the monthly meeting agenda; arrange guest speakers for meetings (4 or 5 per school year); occasionally organize a sign up genius for donations to school activities; 8 meetings and 1 informal end of school year get together; voting; collaborate with auction, Spartan Grant, and fundraising committees. Interested? Curious? Ready to take the next step in this new chapter? Contact Shanna & Melissa at THJSPTO@gmail.com

Save the Date: our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7 from 6-7 in Room 111. We hope to see you there! Our minutes from our March meeting can be found here.

They did it again!

For the 12th year, funds were donated to Thomas Jefferson from the annual All For One Golf Tournament.  Players gather each year at the Wellshire Golf Course for a fun golf tournament while supporting our school through net proceeds.  The tournament donated $900 in October which brings the total to over $10,000 in the last 11 years.

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026.  Do you have customers to host or just love to play golf? Sponsors and Golfers are invited to participate. Get more information at www.allforonegolf.org or call John at 720 232-4554

Vaccines help keep our school community safe, healthy, and ready to learn. As we see measles cases rise
across the country, it is very important to make sure your student’s vaccines are up to date.
A trained Medical Assistant at the Thomas Jefferson School-based Health Center (SBHC) can administer
all the required childhood vaccines to your student. To learn more about what vaccines your student
needs, ask the school nurse, or an SBHC clinic staff member.

5) From the TJ PTO — Graduation Announcements

Graduation is right around the corner! The TJ PTO has partnered with Minted.com to help fundraise for the TJHS Spartan Grants program, and ordering your graduation announcements through Minted is a great way to give back.

Use our unique code FUNDRAISETJHSP to receive 20% off your Minted purchases. For every order placed, Minted will donate 10% of sales back to TJ. To participate, visit minted.com, create your graduation announcements, and enter the code FUNDRAISETJHSP at checkout.

BEAUTIFY YOUR GARDEN
Our warm spring weather is the perfect time to start planning your summer garden. The Class of 2028 Flower Power page currently features colorful spring and summer flowers,
delicious strawberries, hanging garden plants and lots of gardening gifts great for Easter, Mother’s Day and more. Click on over to check it out. All spring orders are due by
May 15.

HELP OUT WITH A ONE-TIME OR RECURRING DONATION
We’ve got a long way to go to raise the money needed to help put on an
amazing after-prom party for the Class of 2028 in two years (yes, just two
years away!). If just 100 families donated $5 a month for the next 24 months
(that’s $120 over two years), we could have a wonderful after-prom with little
additional fundraising. Follow this link to set up a recurring donation. We have
raised about $6,000 for class activities and After Prom. To put on a great
After Prom, we need at least $12,000-$15,000. One-time donations are also
accepted.
