Happy Earth Week! Check out this video that DPS made about Lola Lopez through Sustainability Club about her project for the Seal of Climate Literacy.
Lola did a lesson with students at Samuels Elementary about the importance of bees and had them create bee boxes (Val Olivares also helped with this).
We have had 21 junior and senior students apply for the Seal of Climate Literacy this year (up from 6 who earned it last year) and they are presenting their projects this week and will be honored at an award ceremony at South HS on May 13th in addition to earning this Seal on their transcript and earning a cord for graduation.
More info about the Seal of Climate Literacy can be found here if you're curious!

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026. Do you have customers to host or just love to play golf? Sponsors and Golfers are invited to participate. Get more information at www.allforonegolf.org or call John at 720 232-4554

IT’S SHOE COLLECTION TIME!!
Clean out your closets and everywhere else you keep shoes, then send them to school with your kids to drop off in the collection box in the office at school.
We are hoping to collect 2,500+ pairs of shoes by the end of the school year. Right now, we’ve collected just under 100 pairs.
We’re hoping to get a big surge in shoes during one-day drive-thru shoe drop off in the TJ parking lot on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can help! We need a few parent and student volunteers to help collect and bag up the shoes. You can sign up to help online and/or follow this link to download a flyer to post on your favorite community bulletin boards.
