Dear Teller Families,

We hope you’re soaking up the final weeks of summer and enjoying time with family and friends! As we prepare to kick off the 2025–2026 school year, we want to ensure you have all the important information you’ll need for a smooth start. This newsletter is packed with updates—please take the time to read it carefully so you and your child are fully prepared.

Before you continue: If your child will not be returning to Teller this fall, please email Treisi Martinez at treisi_martinez@dpsk12.net as soon as possible.

School Communication

Starting this year, Teller will transition away from using ReachWell, as it is no longer supported by the district. In its place, we will now be using ThrillShare, the district-wide communication tool that allows us to send updates via email, text, and phone all in one place.

All school communication—including the PRIDE Post, classroom newsletters, and important alerts will now be sent through ThrillShare. Messages will be delivered in the language you select during registration to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information in your preferred language.

As a reminder, Teller is committed to creating diverse and equitable learning environments in all classrooms. Equity is our primary consideration when developing class lists. Our administrators and teachers spend many hours thoughtfully reviewing a variety of known factors to ensure balanced and supportive classrooms. For this reason, we do not accept teacher requests.

School Supplies

To simplify back-to-school prep, all returning and new Teller students (ECE–5th Grade) are asked to purchase their school supplies through Teller’s PTA. Click here to order school supplies.

You might notice the cost has gone down this year! That’s thanks to the collaborative efforts of our PTA and staff to reduce waste, reuse materials where possible, and take advantage of bulk pricing—while still ensuring every classroom has what it needs.

Please note: The following items are not included in the PTA order and should be brought on the first day of school:

  • ECE–5th Grade: Backpack, reusable water bottle, and lunchbox

  • Kindergarten–5th Grade: Wired headphones

  • ECE Only: Bedroll and two reusable Wet/Dry Bags

Need support? Scholarships are available—please reach out to Treisi Martinez at treisi_martinez@dpsk12.net.
