Career and College Success Month: Teacher Recruitment and Education Preparation Program (TREP)
The Teacher Recruitment and Education Preparation Program (TREP) is a state program that pays for qualified students interested in a teaching career to attend college full-time for two years after high school. Students qualify for TREP by completing one or more courses in CDE’s determined Educator Pathway or four-year equivalent during their 12th-grade year. Sara (pictured above), a current TREP student, states that TREP has opened many opportunities for her future. TREP is the first step in her pursuit of becoming a child psychologist. For more information on TREP contact Kelly Gilmore and Tara Schneider.

Payroll Giving with DPS Foundation
Did you know you can sign up for recurring payroll deductions that support the Denver Public Schools Foundation? To amplify the impact you're already making at work, consider signing up and gifting $5 per paycheck to DPS Foundation so we can continue to help fund classroom grants, afterschool programs, Community Hubs and much more.
The DPS Foundation ensures donations supporting students and educators are made in the most effective and impactful way. For example, $10 per paycheck could help provide educators with an updated social-emotional learning curriculum, stock a middle school resource room with coats and snacks, cover graduation cap and gown fees for students who need them and more. Sign up here or email Erin Shelby if you have any questions.
