5. “My favorite part of fall is when they start roasting the green chile! It's an integral part of my childhood and still brings lots of happy memories and experiences with my family. Plus, it's one of the best smells!” -- Shelby Wosick, Office of Operations

4.“My favorite thing about fall is the fog. When you wake up in the morning and step outside seeing that first fog of the season it is a sense of relief to know that cooler weather is on its way.” -- Collista Lewingdon, DoTS

3.“I am a passionate landscape photographer who truly enjoys the mountains in the fall with all the aspen changing and the vibrant colors of the fall foliage...can't beat it anywhere else!” -- Sam Adair, Facilities Safety

Fallie

2.“I enjoy watching the leaves on the trees in my neighborhood change color. It gives them a whole new feel. Here are two photos of my parents' dog, Ollie, playing in the leaves. I call it Instagram vs. real life.” --Kayla Morehead, Strategic Operations

1.“My favorite part of fall

Is not the colors at all,

It’s not the crisp chill in the air,

It’s the shadows everywhere,

The creaky floors, the jump scares keen,

The jack-o'-lanterns’ glowing sheen—

My favorite part of fall, you see,

Is Halloween, where thrills run free!”

--Lorena Desantos-Butista, Skinner Middle School
