Nominate a School Leader Living DPS' Core Values

Dear Educators,

In times of change and challenge, it's an unwavering commitment to our values that guides us forward. As we prepare for our upcoming Principal Quarterly on Tuesday, March 11, we invite you to recognize those who stand as beacons of our Shared Core Values in action.

Whether you're a teacher, SSP, or part of our broader educational community, we encourage you to nominate a principal who has demonstrated exceptional leadership by living and breathing our Shared Core Values. These individuals not only navigate the complexities of our educational landscape with grace but also inspire others to remain anchored in our collective mission.

Submit your nominations by completing this form. Thank you for your support in recognizing those who exemplify our educational community and sharing the commitment that Every Learner Thrives.

Respectfully,

Dr. Tony Smith
Deputy Superintendent

Complete CDE Required Training

For all teachers

Per the Colorado Department of Education, teachers and SSPs must complete annual orientation training to be aware of any changes and fully understand how they are evaluated. If you haven’t already, please take the required training aligned to your role and evaluation framework.

  • Returning Teachers: LEAP Annual Orientation training (20-30 minutes)

  • Teachers new to DPS: LEAP 101: Introduction to DPS Teacher Evaluation for New Educators Replaces LEAP Annual Orientation training and is an induction requirement (60 minutes)

  • Non-Instructional/Itinerant (NII) Teachers: NII Orientation Training (30 minutes)

  • SSPs: SSP GPS Annual Orientation Training (30 minutes)

If you have questions, email leap@dpsk12.org.

GPS Tip of the Week

For all teachers

When you are viewing an observation in GPS, the DOM (Domain) button on the Framework Alignment page can be very helpful as it allows the user to condense their view. Use this feature when you’d like to see which indicators have been scored and review comments quickly.
