Dear Swigert Families,

February has been flying by! We had a great turnout at Community Literacy Night last week. We had several  local and diverse authors, a book exchange, and a wonderful student-led poetry slam. I wanted to share our resources from the staff presentation about what literacy looks like at Swigert.  There are some great resources and ways to support literacy at home- What Literacy Looks Like at Swigert

We have some great events coming up. This Thursday we have our Science Fair. Thank you to Racha Kobitary for all her organization and passion for this event. And next Tuesday, we have a Community Bingo Night. It is a family fun event sponsored by our PTA. We have Mr. Shutts and Senor Amador leading the calls, please see information below.

We know choice information came out last night. If you have any questions please reach out to me directly at Shelby_Dennis@dpsk12.net.

Sincerely,

Shelby Dennis

Auction Grade Level Baskets

Help us create something unique and memorable for the upcoming Swigert Auction!

What are Grade Level Baskets? Families can contribute funds or purchase items from a curated list. Contributions are then combined into baskets to be auctioned off. All proceeds go to Swigert.

What do I do? Look for an email from your room parent where you will find links to select items from your specific grade level basket or contribute to a large single item.

Do I have to give? How much? No! Every contribution — big or small — helps make our baskets special and supports our school community. Your donation is a quick and easy way to participate in the auction and help raise funds for Swigert!

Questions?  Email Matisse.Zackroff@gmail.com or Caitlin.H.Stewart@gmail.com
