Family Shoutouts
Thank you to Brenda Garcia, Carla Marquez, Karen Torres and Meybe Torres for your help organizing and distributing books to our K-3 students last week! We couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for sharing your time and making reading fun for our K–3 students.
Free Books for K-3 Students
Students in kindergarten through third grade received three free books last week thanks to the Scholastic Family Literacy Initiative! Thank you to the wonderful parent volunteers and staff members for organizing the books and helping our students find books that fit their interests.

Swansea Elementary Fundraiser at Odie B’s
There's still time to head to Odie B's, a bodega in RiNo! This month Odie B's is supporting Swansea Elementary! All diners will be asked to round up their order total to the nearest whole dollar to benefit Swansea Elementary, and our school will receive the donations from the generosity of diners. The Odie B’s restaurant manager is a former Swansea teacher and wants to help support our school community! Let's show their business some love!

Mystery Staff Member of the Week
This week’s mystery staff member loves to dance and may even do the YMCA dance from time to time. She’s a proud Denver native and the youngest of six siblings. Her favorite color is green, and she’s a big fan of cacti. You’ll spot cacti on her lunch box, water bottle and all around her office! Can you guess who she is? We’ll reveal the answer in next week’s newsletter!
