Día del Nino Celebration

We will be celebrating El Día del Nino on April 30 by giving students an extra recess and ice cream, provided by Unidos por Swansea, and having an after school celebration at 5:00 p.m. where students can make crafts, listen to stories and interact with reptiles! See you there!

Parent Volunteers Needed On April 30

We’re looking for parent volunteers to assist with distributing ice cream for our students in celebration of El Día Del Nino/Day of the Children on April 30. Volunteers will be needed from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. If you’re interested and available to help celebrate our students, please contact the Main Office. Thank you to the parents that have already confirmed they will be available to help!

Spring Carnival

Swansea Elementary’s Spring Carnival will be here before we know it! Please mark your calendars now. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, May 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Donations for Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9, and we are asking our talented and creative Swansea families for donations to help celebrate our teachers. Anything helps! Homemade or store bought food, desserts, snacks or beverages are welcomed! If you are able to contribute, please fill out the form letting us know what you’ll be bringing. Please bring your donations to the Main Office in the morning on Wednesday, May 7. Fill out the form here.

Register for CSU Youth Sports Camps

CSU Youth Sports Camps are BACK for another fun-filled summer at CSU Spur in Denver! YSC aims to promote health in children while encouraging them to have fun. Programs run Monday-Friday, and kids ages 5-12 can participate in a range of activities including various sports, learning about animals, where our food comes from, and water in our environment. Campers will also have the opportunity to take a field trip up to Fort Collins for a day! This summer program is offered weekly, June 9-Aug. 15, at the Johnson Recreation Center and CSU Spur in Denver. Cost is FREE; priority is given to students who live or go to school in the 80216 zip code. Register here.

Free Weekly Yoga Classes at the Central Community Hub!

Looking for a moment of peace in your day? Join us every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for a relaxing adult yoga class at the Central Community Hub inside Swansea Elementary (Door #15, 4650 Columbine St.). No experience needed—chair and mat options available! Wear comfy clothes, bring a water bottle, and get ready to de-stress.
