UCAN's (United Community Action Network of Metro Denver) Homeownership Summit will be on March 15 at the Focus Points Family Resource Center. The Summit covers topics such as financial planning, tenants rights, down payment assistance programs and more. This event will be in English and Spanish and will include free lunch and live music from the Latin All Stars.
The DPS “Your Voice/Tu Voz” Student Survey is open! Responses to the survey inform decisions on how DPS can better serve all our students. Students in third grade and higher should have received an email from Superintendent Dr. Marrero with a unique link to complete the survey. Swansea students will be taking the survey in class this week, but families are encouraged to check in with their children to ensure they completed the survey.
Ms. Rajala Schoedel
I love her she has been such an amazing teacher to my son, Cooper, and has been so helpful with his journey that he is on now with his ADHD diagnosis. She also makes sure to communicate effectively with us to ensure Cooper has all the support and is able to feel valued. I cannot thank her enough for all she has done for him and continues to do. Cooper loves going to school, and I know it is because of the amazing teacher he has. So again, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all you do for Cooper to help him grow." -Courtney Jacobs
Ms. Medina and Ms. Zocorro
"What more can I say of both these lovely teachers. They are very lovely and kind and always are trying to update us and are considerate of asking you what had happened or what's going on. Always very helpful, always there to help. I love how Ms. Medina always reaches out to us to make sure we're okay. For example my son was very sick and absent for couple days. They always check in to make sure he (Vidal) was okay and ask how he was feeling. I also love how they are always greeting kids when come in every morning. It makes my son feel welcome, and it is heart warming that Swansea has such good teachers ❤️ Thank you! "-Leianna Rojas
