Attendance Rewards and Reminders |
If your student has been on time and present every day this week, they will be enter into a raffle to win a BIKE and other small prizes.
Showing up to school each day sets students up for success. Consistent attendance helps children develop confidence, stay engaged in learning and build important relationships with classmates. Swansea is aiming to have every student present for 95% of the time for the school year. The percentage is calculated using minutes, so late arrivals and early departures affect this number. Help us reach our goal by encouraging your student to arrive on time and stay in school the entire day.

ACCESS Testing Begins on Jan. 13 |
ACCESS Testing at Swansea begins on January 13 and takes place over the next two weeks. Multilingual Learners (MLLs) in grades K-12 participate in the ACCESS for ELLs state assessment. This assessment measures a student’s English language skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. ACCESS is used by classroom teachers to determine the level of language support that a student may need during instruction. With this information, we are able to monitor student progress on an annual basis and determines what programming a student needs. Please make sure your student is present and on-time to school over the course of ACCESS Testing.
