ACCESS TESTING is Underway

ACCESS Testing at Swansea began on January 13 and will continue to take place over the next two weeks. Multilingual Learners (MLLs) in grades K-12 participate in the ACCESS for ELLs state assessment. This assessment measures a student’s English language skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. ACCESS is used by classroom teachers to determine the level of language support that a student may need during instruction. With this information, we are able to monitor student progress on an annual basis and determines what programming a student needs. Please make sure your student is present and on-time to school over the course of ACCESS Testing.

If you have questions about ACCESS Testing, you are invited to attend the upcoming Unidos Por Swansea meeting on Friday, January 16 at 8:15 a.m.; ACCESS Testing will be the main topic of discussion.
