    • Fifth grade: 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Thank you to all the students, families, staff, vendors and community partners that joined us at the Swansea Spring Carnival this past weekend! We loved seeing our community come together for an afternoon of fun. If you have any suggestions on how to improve next year's carnival, please provide us your feedback in this short survey here.

Continuation Ceremonies

If your student is participating in a Continuation ceremony on June 3, please know that students can dress to impress! Students are required to dress appropriately. Please do not let your student wear spaghetti straps, cropped shirts that show the midriff or heels. Students and their families will be able to leave following their student's ceremony.

Field Day

Field day is almost here! On June 2, please make sure that your student comes to school with a water bottle, sunscreen and hat. Parents are also welcome to join for the fun!

  • 3rd-5th grade will have Field Day from 9 a.m.-11:15 a.m.

  • ECE-2nd grade will have Field Day from 12:45 p.m -2:45 p.m.

  • Around 2:45 p.m., a fire truck will come to cool the students off!

Explore Aviation at DEN Academy

The Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation at Denver International Airport is hosting a free, public, summer program called DEN Academy to introduce students ages 7-12 to the exciting world of aviation! Through interactive activities and teamwork, students explore aviation career paths, build real-world skills and connect their strengths to future opportunities. DEN Academy Sessions 1 and 2 are held at CSU Spur this year and are open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both Sessions will take place on the CSU Spur Campus: 4777 National Western Drive, Denver, CO 80216.

Session 1 is for students ages 7-9.

Session 1 Dates:

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, June 23

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 24

Session 2 is for students ages 10-12.

Session 2 Dates:

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, June 26

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, June 27

Students must attend both days – sessions build on each other. Please only submit one application per student. Once a session is full, a waitlist will begin. To guarantee a spot, applicants must:

  1. Complete the online signup (this will take approximately eight minutes).

  2. Once you complete the sign-up, you will be emailed a liability waiver. You must return the required liability waiver to ceea@flydenver.comno later than 11:59 p.m. on Sun., June 1.

Free Bikes for Kids from Forney Museum of Transportation

Forney Museum of Transportation is hosting their 5th annual bike giveaway by Swansea Elementary school, on Saturday, May 24 from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Check out the flyer for more information.
