Mark your calendars! Swansea Elementary will be having a Skate Night on December 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Skate City. More details will be available after Thanksgiving break.
Students will not have school November 25-29. We’ll see you back at school on Monday, December 2.
Unidos por Swansea parents will be selling nachos, corn, juice and water on Friday, November 22 after school. They will be stationed outside of the school near the main entrance. Grab yourself and your student a treat before the holiday break begins!
At the most recent Unidos por Swansea meeting, parents had questions regarding Swansea’s discipline policy. Swansea Elementary leadership and staff are required to abide by the DPS Discipline Matrix. This document classifies student behavior into levels and instructs school leaders on the appropriate consequence for a student’s actions and grade level.
Please know that when a conflict arises between students, Swansea leadership can only inform guardians of their student’s consequences. The school cannot inform parents on consequences for other students.
Guardians are encouraged to review the DPS Discipline Matrix for more information. You can review the Discipline Matrix in English and Spanish.
The team at Swansea would like to share a few community resources with our Stallion families as we approach the holiday season.
We hope everyone has a wonderful break! As a reminder, there is no school for students Monday, November 25- Friday, November 29. We're looking forward to seeing students back at school on Monday, December 2.
