Join Us at Skate Night
Mark your calendars! Swansea Elementary will be having a Skate Night on December 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Skate City Arvada. There is an entry fee of $8. Skate rentals will be covered by Swansea. For students with perfect attendance, Swansea Elementary will cover the entry cost.
Unidos Por Swansea Selling Nachos on Friday
Unidos por Swansea parents will be selling nachos, corn, juice and water on Friday, December 6 after school. They will be stationed outside of the school near the main entrance.
Chats with the Principal
Join Principal Diaz on Friday, December 6 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. for Chats with the Principal. Coffee and continent breakfast will be provided.
The Holiday Gift Giveaway is Almost Here
Swansea Holiday Gift Giveaway will open on December 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.!
Guardians will have the opportunity to pick two FREE gifts for their student and wrap their chosen gifts. Gift wrapping paper, tape and scissors will be available for use. If guardians do not wish to wrap their gift, dark trash bags will be available to transport gifts home. Guardians, please note, children are not permitted in gym during this event, and gifts are available for Swansea students only.
Guardians will park in the parking lot, enter through the playground doors, obtain their gift tickets and “shop” in the gym. Gift wrapping will take place in the cafeteria, where coffee and cookies will also be available.
Join Us for the Winter Around the World Celebration
Swansea Elementary’s Annual Winter Around the World Celebration will be held on December 18 at 5 p.m.! Come watch your Stallion student perform and celebrate the winter season before the holiday break begins!

Responses needed: Denver Safe Routes to School Partnership
The Safe Routes to School initiative wants to hear from Swansea families and staff! So far, the Denver Safe Routes to School has only received 34 responses to their survey. Please help us gather more community feedback by taking the survey! Tell us about your experiences accessing Swansea Elementary by walking, bicycling, rolling, school bus, and driving. Winter Break; No School for Students
Winter Break will begin on Monday, December 23. There will be no school for students on December 23 through January 6. Students will resume school on Tuesday, January 7. We are wishing all our Swansea families a wonderful holiday season! Enjoy the time off!
Upcoming Open House at Bruce Randolph School for Fifth Grade Students
Join the Grizzlies at Bruce Randolph School for their Open House Night on Dec. 12 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.! The event will include a campus tour, a Q&A session with Principal Erin Olson and free snacks and beverages. If you’re unable to attend but would like to schedule a tour, please call Bruce Randolph’s front office at 720-424-1080.
