The Steele Student Council is excited to announce that we are partnering with South High School’s Student Government to support Make-A-Wish Colorado. This organization provides life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This year, South is raising money for a nine year old boy named Dante who has leukemia. South High School will be hosting different fundraising events the week of March 1 - 7 to help Dante’s wish for a family trip to Disney World come true! How can the Steele Community help?
- Attend South’s Big Night Out (similar to Trick-or-Treat street which some of your kiddos should be familiar with) on Wednesday, March 4th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm
- Donate directly to South Wish Week online. We have a Steele Elementary Team! - Bring cash to your classroom teacher’s donation envelope. The classroom with the greatest donation at the end of the week will earn a celebration generously donated from the South Student Government. See this flyer for more information Thank you for your support! -Steele Student Council |

Beyond the Screen needs your help! |
|
|
Did you know Denver Public Schools (DPS) launched an advisory committee to support the development of a new Board of Education policy that outlines rules for student possession of communication devices (such as cell phones) during the school day as required by law (Colorado HB25-1135). The Beyond The Screen parent affinity group has drafted an open letter to the Communication Devices Advisory Committee (CDAC) and we need your help!
Please click here to review the letter and add your name to the signature page. |
