Update from Principal Ken Burdette |
Greetings Steck Families:
I am happy to share that CMAS is completed and our students worked very hard and gave their best efforts. We now shift into the final weeks of the school year, with many exciting end-of-year activities. Today, some of our students participated in and showcased their many talents at the DPS Shakespeare Festival downtown. On May 8th, we have our annual Fun Run event and fundraiser. And don't forget Field Day on May 20th! Lots of fun activities and events coming up, and we need students on their best behavior showing the STARS traits to help make all of these a success. Please continue to encourage your students to show the STARS traits at school and to always show kindness to one another.
Have a great weekend,
Ken Burdette

Steckretariat Fun Run May 8th |
The Steckretariat Fun Run 2026 is just a few short weeks away on May 8th! All are welcome to come out to cheer on our amazing students as they run, dance, and have fun.
This is our only student-led fundraiser of the year, so we encourage your kiddos to reach out to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends to help support their beloved school.
Our goal this year is to raise $35,000 for the PTSA, with funds going toward a new swing set for the main playground.
