We have an exciting week ahead at Steck! There’s a lot happening, and we can’t wait to celebrate our wonderful students and school spirit together.

Here’s what’s coming up:

Spirit Days – Join in the fun Monday- Wednesday by showing your Steck pride! Each day will have a special theme. See the message below for details.

October STARS Assembly – Our October assembly will take place on Wednesday, 10/29 at 1:45pm. This month we will celebrate being trustworthy and will introduce our next STARS Trait - Accepting

🎃 Halloween Parties & Parade – On Thursday, we’ll celebrate Halloween with classroom parties and our annual parade starting at 1:30 pm on the blacktop. Families are welcome to attend the parade—more details are shared below.

Steck Food Drive- As part of our response to our community’s needs, a Steck Pantry has been created to provide families with food outside of school hours. Steck relies on the generosity of our community to help replenish the pantry. You can leave donations with your child’s teacher or bring them directly to the main office. Denver Public Schools App update (Thrillshare)

Steck's website is fully functioning on the DPS App! You can now find Steck as an option in the app and be able to choose Steck as your school to receive communication from, as well as from your's child's classroom. You can set your communication preferences in the app. Communications will also continue to be sent via email. Steck Spirit Days

Get Ready Steck Stars! It is time for some Spirit Days!

Monday, October 27: Sports Day! Wear anything that has to do with sports! Jerseys, Team Colors, or outfits that show off your favorite sport or athlete!

Tuesday, October 28: Mustache Mahem! Draw or make your own mustache. Looking for some creative facial hair masterpieces!

Wednesday, October 29: Wacky Wednesday! Mix those patterns, curl your hair, and wear your shirt inside out! Anything goes…within reason :)

Halloween Festivities at Steck on Thursday October 30

Our annual Halloween Parade will begin at 1:30pm. Weather permitting, classes will exit out the front door and parade around the perimeter of the building. The parade will conclude at the outdoor class party locations. Parents and friends are welcome to join in the fun and watch from the blacktop area at the front of the school or the basketball court at the south side of the school. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be indoors and parents will be invited into the school auditorium.

Students may bring their costumes to school to change into for the parade. No weapons of any kind are permitted as costume props, and costumes should be appropriate for the school environment (not too scary or offensive).
