Slavens Auction

Hello Slavens Families,

The Slavens Royale Auction Committee is hard at work planning what promises to be one of the most fun and memorable nights of the year. There is a tremendous amount happening behind the scenes, and we truly need the support of our amazing community to help us reach our fundraising goals.

 AUCTION DONATIONS

Our biggest need right now is auction items. It takes many donations to build an exciting catalog, and every contribution makes a difference!

Not sure what to give?  Here are some ideas to help spark inspiration:

   •  A service or experience from your business or employer
   •  Season tickets, a vacation home, airline miles, or a special experience
   •  A themed basket (wine night, family game night, spa day, sports fan package, etc.)
   •  A special skill or talent (photography sessions, cooking lessons, tutoring, design help)
   •  A favorite local restaurant or shop you frequent that might be willing to donate

Sometimes the hardest part is just identifying what you already have access to!

Submit items via the AUCTION DONATIONS FORM
Prefer not to shop? DONATE DIRECTLY HERE & WE WILL SHOP FOR YOU!

 AUCTION PARTIES

Last year, our community-hosted auction parties raised over $90,000! These parties are not only major fundraisers, they also help build connections across grade levels and families.

Interested in hosting? Secure your dates here: SLAVENS AUCTION PARTIES

Kid, adult, and family parties are all welcome! Hosting can be as simple or as creative as you’d like, backyard karaoke, poker nights, craft afternoons, cooking classes, or neighborhood gatherings.

Need help getting started?

Reach out to Erin O'Sullivan at slavenspartiesk8@gmail.com to brainstorm ideas or be paired with co-hosts.

Diversity, Inclusion, Outreach (DIO) Speaker

The Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach (DIO) PTA subcommittee is excited to host distinguished speaker, Brandon Slade with Untapped Learning: https://untappedlearning.com/.

Brandon helps students develop the skills and confidence to succeed in and beyond school. Drawing from years of experience working with students who learn differently, Brandon specializes in practical, compassionate strategies that build structure, resilience, and independence.

When students struggle with executive function skills like organization, time management, and planning, they're more likely to have late or missing assignments and procrastinate on long-term projects. They may seem unmotivated, constantly frustrated, or paralyzed by perfectionism that keeps them from starting or finishing work. These students are often mislabeled as lazy or disinterested, but executive function skills don't occur naturally. They're learned. Teaching these skills helps students succeed not just academically but in all areas of their lives through repetition, routine, self-advocacy, and staying active - join us to discuss these strategies.

Please RSVP here!

• SLAVENS TEACHERS SUMMER CAMPS •

A-Team Basketball Camp at Slavens

Summer 2026 with Coaches Alexa & Austin Meeler - ONE week only this year!

If your child will be entering grades 1st - 7th grade in the 2026 -2027 school year and wants to improve on their basketball skills, (or is just a beginner looking to learn some new skills!), meet new friends, and have some fun this summer, we can't wait for them to join us at A-Team Basketball Camp! This camp is a great opportunity for young players, to work on basic skills & fundamentals, (as well as more experienced players to refine and build on skills), learn more about the game, engage in super fun games, art & activities, (even special theme days each day!), and build friendships and confidence!

While we do spend much of the day with basketballs in our hands, we also have plenty of time to just play, socialize, and enjoy summer! We will differentiate drills and lessons for diverse age/skill levels so that all students can learn & grow at their own pace. The camp will conclude on Friday with some scrimmages that parents can come and watch.

This year we only have one week of camp available!  June 15th - 19th

We are both elementary school teachers, veteran coaches, mentors, athletes, and partners in all things! We are Positive Coaching Alliance trained through CHSA, and CPR/First Aid & Concussion Certified. We love helping our youth develop skills, deepen connections and social skills, build healthy habits, push and challenge themselves, and mostly - build confidence! We love basketball, but also just playing and enjoying the lightness and positivity our youth bring to the world. We love offering this camp each summer!
