Drop your kid off at the dance and head over to Hops & Pie at 3920 Tennyson St. between 6-8pm to socialize with other parents during the dance. We hope to see you there!

Families are not permitted to bring food from restaurants/stores to be delivered to students. The Main Office does not have the capacity to coordinate getting the food to students. Additionally, food from restaurants/stores is not permitted in the Cafeteria. We cannot accommodate giving students an alternative location to eat restaurant food. As a reminder, students are given a free lunch, with unlimited fruits and vegetables. |

Gifts to Thank Skinner Staff |
If you're wondering how you are going to manage holiday/first-semester thank you gifts for all your kids' teachers, plus the other amazing staff at Skinner, the PTO has you covered!
From now through Sunday, December 14, you can donate money that will be pooled so that every teacher and staff member at Skinner will receive a gift card to thank them for all their hard work this first semester.

This is the Skinner Middle School Library Wish List. This list is created by the Skinner Library Volunteers. All items will be sent directly to the school for the Library's use. It includes the most popular book requests, supplies and decorations.

SchoolChoice Opened Dec. 2 |
DPS SchoolChoice Round 1 for the 2026-27 school year is now open until 4 p.m. on Jan. 20! This annual open enrollment process is for any student who wants or needs to attend a new school next year, particularly incoming ECE-3, kindergarten, sixth- and ninth-grade students.*
To apply:
Visit schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/apply. 2. Create an account or log in with your Parent Portal username and password. 3. Rank up to 12 schools in order of preference and submit by 4 p.m. on Jan. 20.
You’ll be notified of your results in late February. In the meantime, find much more information on the SchoolChoice website. If you have any questions, review our FAQs, call 720-423-3493 or email schoolchoice@dpsk12.org.
*Families applying for ECE-3 with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from the DPS Department of Special Education should submit the Universal Preschool Colorado (UPK) application to apply for funding. Families who are applying for ECE-4 must submit the UPK application. Read below for more information.

The Skinner PTO is a community of parents, guardians, and staff working together to support our school and create memorable experiences for our students. You don’t have to commit to attending every monthly meeting — you can jump in on projects that excite you or bring you joy!
