New Family Orientation

Thank you to all families who attended New Family Orientation - here is the slide-deck in case you’d like to review!

Schedule Changes

We understand that many students may want or need a schedule change. With over 700 students, we ask that all schedule changes use this process so that we can ensure effective communication for our Skinner teams.

Next Steps:

Step 1:  Review the Valid and Invalid reasons to request a schedule change for a student

Step 2:  Complete Skinner Schedule Change Request Form  - Families wishing to request a change in their students' schedule need to submit this form by Tuesday, August 26th at 3:20pm for Semester 1.

Step 3:  Expect an email from a scheduler at Skinner to let you know the status of your request within 3-5 business days. While we try our best to accommodate requests, please note that due to the large number of implications that some changes have, we are not able accommodate every request.

Parent Engagement/Volunteering Opportunities

Parent Social:  All are welcome - Thursday, August 28 from 4:30–6:30 pm.
Kick off the school year with your fellow Skinner parents at our Parent Social! Join us for a relaxed evening at Hogshead Brewery on Thursday, August 28 from 4:30–6:30 pm. We will have pizza and snacks for the kids and adults alike. This is a perfect chance to meet new faces, reconnect with friends, and swap stories about summer before the busy school year kicks in. No agenda, no pressure — just good conversation, great community, and a cold drink in hand. Whether you’re new to Skinner or been here for years, we’d love to see you there!

Thank you for helping us kick off the year strong!

Frank Coyne, your Skinner PTO president
