Dear RASA Family,

We hope you have been staying safe and warm over the last few weeks. Please read below to be updated with RASA’s latest information!

At RASA, we celebrate Black history every day. This month, Ms. Lowman’s class is leading the way with daily announcements each morning, sharing powerful stories, facts, and voices that inspire us all. 

Dr. Nieto hopped into dance class to teach our amazing RASA students some West African dance steps and accompanied them on dun dun—as inspired by Guinea style drum and dance. Check out the performance from Ms. Lowman and Ms. T - a dance called Lamban that originated in Mali and danced by the djeli (a caste of musicians and storytellers).

Exciting news! Swinerton, RASA Construction Team, is giving our Founding Class the opportunity to leave their mark—literally! Each student will sign a beam (a horizontal support that helps hold up the building) that will be placed in our new middle school.

On Tuesday, 2/25/25, each class will have a designated time to go outside and sign the beam. Stay tuned for pictures of these moments!

Our students had an unforgettable time exploring the zoo last week! From watching penguins play to learning about lions, it was a day filled with curiosity, discovery, and lots of fun. Thank you to all our wonderful parents and chaperones who participated in our first ever full school field trip.

Monday, March 3rd is a non-student contact day, so there will be no classes for students. Enjoy the long weekend and we will see you back in school Tuesday, March 4th.

A physical copy of the Intent to Return form was sent home with your student today. Please complete and return it to the main office by February 28, 2025. This form helps us plan for the upcoming school year but does not guarantee a spot - additional registration steps may be required.
