Happy Friday Park Hill Families!
I hope to see everyone at the Auction tonight starting at 6pm inside the DoubleTree Hotel. No tickets are required and the event is free to attend. The PTSA auction committee and volunteers have put a great deal of time and effort into the event, and I want to share my sincere thanks for all of their hard work and creativity. If you cannot make it but want to contribute to the event, you can do so on the Auction website, here. All proceeds benefit our students directly. Have fun and be safe tonight.
I wanted to share a big thanks to all of our volunteers who have helped the past few weeks at the school. We have had families helping in reading groups, grading papers, going on field trips, taking care of class pets, and a multitude of other helpful activities. Thanks for all that you do and I’m so appreciative of our community!

Vision, Hearing & Dental screening on April 1-4, 2025
DPS provides free vision, hearing, and dental screenings for all students in identified grades (Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th). The screenings are NOT an assessment or an evaluation and do NOT replace professional exams. Mass screening is considered best practice to identify students who may be at risk for health concerns affecting the student’s ability to learn and who may need extra support to reach academic benchmarks.
The health screening components of vision and hearing will be completed at your child’s school on: April 1, 2, 3, with rescreens on the 4th (immediately after spring break). Parents/guardians of students who were absent or who did not have optimal hearing, vision or dental screening results will be notified in writing regarding the results.
You must notify our school nurse, Wendy Harper (wendy_harper@dpsk12.net) directly by March 28 should you wish to REFUSE/OPT OUT of any of the free screenings for your student.
*Please remind your child to bring/wear their glasses during screening week.
