Sponsorship Spotlight:

Hengel

Hello Park Hill families! My name is Natalie Hengel, and I’m excited to introduce myself as your friendly neighborhood real estate agent, proud Park Hill Panther mom, and long-time resident of this wonderful community. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I grew up taking trips out west, falling in love with Colorado’s stunning landscapes and outdoor adventures. When it was time for college, I knew I was meant to make Colorado my forever home.

With a background in advertising and marketing focused on community development, I’ve always been passionate about connecting people to the places they love. This journey led me to a fulfilling career in real estate, where I help families find their dream homes right here in Park Hill. I truly believe that the right home can shape the fabric of your life, and I’m dedicated to making that happen for others.

My grandfather always said, “Do what you love, and it will never feel like work,” and I wholeheartedly embrace that philosophy. I absolutely love what I do and can’t wait to help others make their home dreams come true!

If you have any real estate questions or just want to connect and hang out, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s become friends and strengthen our Park Hill community together!

George Washington High School Trunk or Treat

I am Ivy Manno, a senior at George Washington high school and a DECA officer for our school's local club. I also am a senior team lead for George's Ambassadors Program, and run a couple of other events as well. George Washington DECA is hosting a trunk or treat event for local elementary schools and we would love to see Park Hill Elementary there! Trunk or treat is being held in the GW South Parking lot on October 30th from 4-6 P.M. Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes, parade around the parking lot, indulge in fun activities like cornhole, and of course, eat delicious candy treats. If any families would be interested in attending, we have a flyer with more information attached below.

East High School Writing Competition and Book Drive

Who We Are:  We are seniors at Denver East High School and are a part of a national business competition called DECA. This year for our community giving DECA event, we are focused on uplifting children’s literacy in the Denver community. Currently, Denver schools have absorbed a large portion of young migrant children, but there is often a shortage of resources to make sure these new students don’t fall behind.

About Colorado Reading Partners: Since 1999, Reading Partners has been mobilizing communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade. Their mission is to help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized instruction with measurable results. The Reading Partners community recognizes that learning to read is a civil right and we promote equity by helping students develop lifelong literacy skills and confidence to actualize their limitless potential. Their dedicated, student-centered team works across our core regions nationwide to partner with K-4 students—90+ percent of whom are students of color—and their families, as well as schools, community based organizations, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members to provide individualized tutoring and other evidence-based literacy support.
