Happy Thursday!
The cold weather didn’t slow things down at the school this week. On top of normal studies, we are busy with Valentine’s parties, the Kindness campaign, Black History Month topics, performance preparations, and many other activities at each grade level.
The PTSA auction is a little over a month away. This is the largest fundraiser for our school, and the funds we raise each year directly support each of our students. It is also a fun event where our community can all get together to celebrate our successes and say hello to teachers, staff, and neighbors. I hope you can all join us on March 14. The PTSA will continue to have more information in future Panther Pages, but please save the date and find a babysitter for the evening.
Finally, enjoy the extended weekend. We will see students back on Tuesday!

Note from nursing: Increase in viral respiratory illnesses
The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) is reporting increased circulation in Colorado for three common respiratory viruses: influenza (flu), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and COVID-19. Denver County outbreaks have also been on a steep rise.
Students and staff with respiratory symptoms (i.e., cough, sore throat, runny or congested nose, wheezing, fever/chills) must stay home from school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication (e.g., Motrin, Tylenol), AND their respiratory symptoms begin to improve.
