I hope everyone had a nice Winter break. We are excited to have all of our staff and students back and get everyone off to a strong start in 2025.
Please keep an eye out for upcoming volunteering opportunities, events, and 2025-26 Enrollment information. The next few months tend to be extremely busy! As always, we appreciate your collaboration and support. Thank you again for your generosity in the Holiday season for both our families in need and our staff members. I know it is appreciated.
Lastly, please join us for Coffee with the Principal next Friday, 1/17, in the Cafeteria. We will plan to start at 8:20am, and the primary topic will be the upcoming Auction. We appreciate all the help we can get.

Enrollment: SchoolChoice opens next Wednesday
The SchoolChoice window will open Wednesday, January 15 at 10am. Families can rank their preferred schools for their children to attend during this time. This is required for 5th grade students continuing on to middle school, incoming kindergarten and ECE-4 students or those looking to transfer to another DPS school. The Choice window is open from January 15-February 18. Elections can be made at any point during that window.
We are requesting that current K-4th grade families login to the new DPS SchoolChoice system (with your DPS ParentPortal email and credentials) and let us know their plans for the 2025-26 school year. Families can confirm their ‘Intent to Enroll’ at PHE for the next school year. This is strictly for planning purposes and is optional.
Pre-Enrollment forms are available on the website for new DPS students.
Student Activity Invoices
We still have about 10% of our student activity invoices that have not been paid. This fee pays for field trips, special visitors and special events throughout the year. Please take a few minutes to log into your MySchoolBucks account, then double check that all of your students are listed on your account and that you do not have any open invoices. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sarah Connolly in the office. We would love to be 100% paid by the end of January!
After School Enrichment signup
The next session of after-school Spring Enrichments will run from March 3 - May 23. Sign-ups will open on Tuesday, January 14 at 6am on the ELCS website. The Enrichment offerings can be found in the ELCS Packet here.
