Our Word Is Our Bond Updates

Board Unanimously Approves $975 Million Bond Package

2024 bond initiatives overview

On Aug. 15, the Denver Board of Education unanimously approved a $975 million bond package. As a result, almost a billion dollars in funding for our schools may be available. The 2024 bond package will be presented to Denver voters on Nov. 5. If passed it will not increase taxes for Denverites.

The package includes funding for critical maintenance needs and air conditioning for the 29 remaining DPS schools without AC. It also would provide funding for improving learning environments, arts, athletics and innovation, new facilities, and safety and technology upgrades.

2020 Bond Bus Tour

The final bus tour of the 2020 bond took place this summer. District leadership and community stakeholders toured four sites where bond package upgrades, provided by the 2020 bond, have completed their construction. The bus tours were an opportunity to see how our promises made are promises kept by touring the locations where bond dollars are at work! Watch our recap video to learn more. Thank you, Denver voters, for your support and investment in public education!
