As a graduating senior, it’s hard to believe this chapter is coming to a close. Northfield has been so much more than just a school, it’s been the place where I was challenged, supported, and deeply changed. I’ve laughed, stumbled, and grown here, but most importantly, I found my voice at Northfield.
To the students who still have time left at Northfield– enjoy it. Don’t spend your time wishing it away, time will move fast enough on its own. Seize every opportunity and live in the moment. The early morning drives to school, study sessions, football games, classes with your best friends, these are the memories you’ll carry with you. Don’t take anything for granted, be present, and soak in every second. It all goes quicker than you think!
To the staff at Northfield– thank you. Thank you for the time, knowledge, and heart you pour into each and every student. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. We see it in the extra hours, the words of encouragement, and the way you show up for us every single day. You’ve shaped us into thoughtful, capable young adults. The impact you’ve made on us reaches far beyond the classroom and will stay with us long after we leave these halls.
To our families– thank you for being our constant support. Your belief in us made our achievements possible. We wouldn’t be here without your love and encouragement.
With summer just around the corner, I hope everyone takes this time to rest, recharge, and reflect. Whether you're graduating, returning in the fall, or just beginning your journey at Northfield, know this: being a part of the Nighthawk community is something truly special. It's more than a school, it's a family, and that connection will always be a part of you.
As I head into summer and prepare for my next adventure at the University of Michigan, I am reminded of everything being a Northfield Nighthawk has done for me. I am grateful for these past four years at Northfield and although walking away is bittersweet, I know that wherever I end up I will always be proud to be a Nighthawk. Once a Nighthawk, always a Nighthawk.
