All seniors are encouraged to check their current graduation status. This is done by visiting the DPS Student/Parent Portal and selecting 'See Graduation Status.' This view will provide confirmation of ICAP completion, coursework and competency. An ICAP is an Individual Career and Academic Plan and is required to be eligible for graduation. Learn more about ICAP. Seniors should contact their counselor as soon as possible if they are not on track with ICAP, coursework or competencies.
All Northfield students are required to complete 30 hours of volunteer work to graduate. Students can find volunteer opportunities on their own or by reviewing suggested ones from popular outlets, such as Food Bank of the Rockies, Children’s Hospital Colorado and The Dumb Friend’s League.
To receive credit for volunteer hours, students must login to x2Vol using a DPS Student email address as the username and student birth date as the password (ex: 12212005).
Participation in a community project can be logged as a “personal project” with a description of the activity. The description and time commitment must be verified by the community contact. It will then get sent back to Northfield for approval. If it is a Northfield project, students must send the verification and description to the Northfield staff member who supervised the activity.
Questions? Reach out to Northfield Communications Specialist, Ms. Slater, or Career Navigator, Ms. Ursula. IB students can reach out to IB Coordinators, Mr. Wright, or Ms. Cruz, for assistance.
All graduating seniors are asked to confirm the accuracy of their name. Names included within this list will be used to produce diplomas. If your senior goes by another name and would prefer it be called on stage at graduation, they should note this within the list as well. The list is accessible by DPS student email addresses only. Necessary edits should be written out in column F. Columns A-E are locked and will not allow for edits. Thursday, Jan. 30, is the deadline to make any edits. This list was first shared with seniors in December. Names are pulled directly from Infinite Campus. For questions, please contact Northfield Communications Specialist, Ms. April Slater.
Northfield’s graduation committee is hard at work planning for the Class of 2025's Commencement and Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 30, at University of Denver’s Ritchie Center. If you have a Northfield alum in your family and still have their navy graduation cap and gown from Jostens, please consider donating for future use. Donations can be delivered to the Main Office in Building 5.
If your senior did not purchase a graduation robe or cap in the fall from Jostens, there is still time to do so. Visit the Jostens website to purchase. If your student needs to borrow a cap and gown from Northfield, please have them notify their counselor as soon as possible.
All students are assessed annual registration fees for activities, courses, programming, software and testing at Northfield. Fees by grade-level are listed below and are payable via MySchoolBucks (MSB). All legal guardians can access MSB directly through the MSB website or through the DPS Parent Portal. For assistance with MSB, please utilize the user guide. Students with an active balance on their MSB account are not permitted to attend prom and other specified student activities, including graduation. Families who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) are eligible for decreased or eliminated school-based fees and testing costs.
Follow along with the Class of 2025 Senior Timeline for events, deadlines, activities and more. The timeline is a living document that will continue to be updated as Northfield High School settles upon more dates, deadlines and activities for graduating seniors. All dates are subject to change.
Additionally, you can bookmark the Class of 2025 webpage of the Northfield website. The webpage includes helpful resources, including how to request letters of recommendation and official transcripts, as well the Senior Resource Guide created by Northfield’s Denver Scholarship Foundation advisors.
The last day to submit senior tributes and portraits for the Northfield yearbook is Sunday, Jan. 26. There are no extensions beyond this deadline.
Submit your student’s favorite portrait. Each graduating senior is allotted one vertical, rectangle portrait, 2” wide by 3” high, at 3000 dpi and saved in JPG format. Senior portraits are optional.
Submit a senior tribute with words of praise and pictures of the past. Design your own tribute or use one of Jostens (yearbook vendor) already made templates. Tributes are $120 for a ¼-page and $85 for an ⅛ of a page.
For questions, please contact Northfield Audio Visual Teacher and Yearbook Advisor, Dr. Dan Clarke.
Sign up to attend the Financial Aid Workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 3–7 p.m., in Building 5 Room 119. Northfield's Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) advisers will help attendees to complete the application and discuss next steps. Applications look different this year than in previous years, so even if you have completed it in the past you may benefit from the workshop. Again, it is very important that this application is completed promptly and correctly.
You can prepare for the workshop by creating a login. For students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, the FAFSA is the application needed to apply for financial aid. Students who are undocumented must complete the CASFA application.
For students completing the FAFSA, families need to create a StudentAid.gov account, which consists of a username and password. This was previously known as an FSA ID, so if you already have one you do not need to create another. Every family and student needs an account and it must be created at least three days prior to starting the FAFSA application. Families completing CASFA, can create a student login.
Please contact DSF Future Center Advisor, Mr. Zack Montez, if you have further questions.
