Greetings NEC Families,
Thank you for your collaboration in helping your students arrive on time and well-rested for testing this week. Thank you, students, for giving the tests your best effort - we're proud of you for getting it done!
As we head into the weekend, I wanted to share an update about the upcoming changes for the 2026-27 school year:
We will remain at this location. Yes, a second school will use our building, but NEC will be able to access all the classes they need, all around the building. Montbello Career and Tech will have a small portion of the building and NEC will have the majority.
We will continue to offer 4 CTE pathways next year, including Audio Production, Behavioral Health, EMT and Environmental Science. The Business and Engineering pathways will be moving to another school, but if students need to access business classes towards their associate degree, NEC will provide that access.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Our hope is this context reassures you that students will have the same access to the courses they need to earn their associate degree and high school diploma.
With gratitude,
Jennifer Warren, Principal
