A Reminder about Montbello Middle’s Chromebook Policy:
Students will now have a chromebook assigned to them with their names and account information assigned to that chromebook. This is the policy that we used during the 2023-2024 school year
Students will carry their chromebook to each of their classes so they can engage in learning
Chromebooks will not be allowed to be taken out during lunch and recess. Students will place their chromebooks in their lockers during this time
The chromebooks will remain at the school so that we can avoid damage to the devices.
Please talk with our children about the importance of taking care of their devices. Not only are chromebooks important for your child’s learning, the damage can be very expensive:
Intentional Damage: $25-$399.13
Examples: Student pulled the keyboard keys off, threw the Chromebook, Student caused damage on another student’s Chromebook, Student put stickers on their device
Lost Device: $399.13
Example: the student can no longer find their device
Accidental Damage: Case-by-case basis
Example: Chromebook was knocked off a desk and the screen cracked
Thank you for your support with this process!
