Merrill Store

The Merrill Store is designed to promote positive behavior and encourages students to make good choices. They earn Merrill Money throughout their time at school and use it to "purchase" items at the store during their recess. Items include snacks, chips, candy, sports equipment, Merrill gear, fidgets, toys, stickers and most importantly- gift cards! It's so fun seeing your student during the school day! We will have the store open 2 Fridays a month and hope to see you there! SignUpGeniusHere

If you would like to receive extra groceries one-time per month, please complete this private and anonymous survey, so we can provide the food items that your family likes to eat and match your preferences. Please mark the items that you would like to have potentially included in your pre-packed backpack.

Merrill Memories

Merrill Memories - Prologue - Merrill Dedication, November 24, 1953 at 8pm - Scene IV

In the last three Jaguar Journals, Scenes I, II, & III from the Prologue at Merrill’s 1953 Dedication Ceremony were shared. The scenes highlighted our school’s namesake, Louise A. Merrill, in her childhood in Kentucky, her move to Colorado, and her college education.  Click here for Scene IV and to read about her start with teaching.

Cool Classroom! Ms. Tennyson's Newcomer Class

Students in Ms. Tennyson’s newcomer class learned a valuable skill: how to give and receive peer feedback. They practiced with Ms. Tennyson before trying their feedback protocol on their own. This goes to show that all students can take charge of their learning and collaborate effectively!

Denver South Wrestling Futures

We are currently recruiting wrestlers from 1st through 8th grade. Preseason is underway, and our official season begins October 20, 2025.

About our program:

  • This is our second year as a club.

  • Last season, we had three wrestlers place at tournaments we participated in (including a 1st place champion!).

  • We had several more youth who were just one match away from placing.

  • Our focus goes beyond competition—we strive to teach students to be leaders on and off the mat.

With your support, we can continue to grow the sport of wrestling and help shape tomorrow’s leaders.
