Colorado Gives Day -December 10th

Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday December 10th.  Please support the McAuliffe at Smiley Foundation by donating HERE, or dropping a cash or check donation at the Community Office!

McAuliffe at Smiley Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission to support McAuliffe’s amazing staff and students and fill gaps left by DPS funding. Specifically, we would like your help to:

  • Improve our building infrastructure

  • Support our sports programs

  • Assist students and their families with critical needs

  • Appreciate and support our amazing staff

  • Provide educational trip scholarships

Did you know that the building that houses McAuliffe International School is a Tudor style building designed by the architect George H. Williamson, who also designed East High School?  Smiley Junior High School was the building’s original resident, which was opened in 1928 and named after William H. Smiley who was a teacher, principal and Superintendent of DPS until 1924. At nearly 100 years old, the building is a beautiful setting for learning - but it’s been through some things!

The McAuliffe at Smiley Foundation asks for your help updating our historic building. Specifically, we would like to make improvements to important spaces like the teachers’ planning rooms, the library furniture, and even the bathrooms. We're also looking at ways to freshen up the building with some additional branding and art to showcase the rich history of the area and the building while modernizing and building school pride.

Please join us in supporting our students and staff through the McAuliffe at Smiley Foundation - and don’t forget to indicate your kiddos house so they can earn a dress down day. All donations matter, no matter the amount!
