Greetings McAuliffe Families, 

As we head into our last few weeks of the school year, we would like to share a few reminders:

  • There are a lot of items in the lost and found! Please have your student check to see if these are theirs. Small and valuable items are kept in the main office. All lost and found items will be discarded on May 30th.

  • All students must return their DPS-issued Chromebook and Lenovo charger for the summer. Returns will happen during homeroom beginning May 21st. Please make sure to remove all stickers and decals from their Chromebook. 

  • Check something off your back-to-school list and complete registration now during the Early Bird window!

  • If you have medications for your student at school, please pick up all medications the week of May 19th. Medications that are not picked up by May 30th will be discarded.

  • The last day to check out a book (including hold requests) is May 19th. All library books are due May 22nd.

Early Bird Registration is Open!
Save time and complete registration early! The “Early Bird” online registration window is open through May 23rd. To register online, primary legal guardians of current DPS students must have an active DPS Parent Portal account. To get to online registration, go to your Parent Portal account and follow the below instructions:

  • To register online, sign in to the Parent Portal, click on “See All Apps”, then click on “Online Registration” to verify or update your student’s information. Make sure to go all the way through and hit SUBMIT.

  • Online registration can only be completed by the parent/guardian listed in the primary household of the student record.

Drama Performance of Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to see this one-of-a-kind musical on the McAuliffe stage. Join us as we bring the African savanna to life with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

Tickets can be purchased through our theatre website. Remember, each class is a different cast performing on a specific date. Please click here for a master list of students and performance dates. We encourage you to double check this list to make sure you are purchasing tickets for the correct show.

Lion King

Yearbook Distribution - May 21st

Pre-purchased yearbooks will be distributed during all lunch periods in the courtyard on May 21st. There will be no yearbooks available for purchase at that time.

8th Grade End of Year Celebration at Elitches - May 22nd

We're excited to share plans for our 8th grade celebration at Elitch Gardens on Thursday, May 22nd. Information regarding pricing, expectations, arrival/departure, etc. can be found in the online permission slip here. Please note that there will be no transportation provided to or from Elitches. Online Permission slips and payment are due by Wednesday, May 14th. If you have any questions, please contact Sherry Beardshear at Sherry_Beardshear@dspk12.org.

End of Year Medication Pick-up
All medications and medical equipment must be picked up from the school health office at the end of the school year. Medications cannot go home with your student. Please make plans to pick your students' medications up the week of May 19th. Medications will be disposed of if they are not picked up by May 30th. If you have any questions, please contact the health office.

McAuliffe Ultimate Frisbee : State Tournament

McAuliffe's three ultimate Frisbee teams had another very successful State Tournament this past weekend. All of our teams made it to the finals, and the A team WON another STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Huge shout out to our 8th graders who have mostly been playing with this program since 6th grade. Good luck in high school and keep laying out!

Girls Summer Run Club

Calling all 6th-8th grade girls! Have some fun running and training this summer with McAuliffe alumni and current East Senior Rosie Mucharsky. Rosie is a 3-time state champion in cross country and track and has committed to run D1 for the University of Notre Dame this fall.

Regis Jesuit Admissions Information

6th and 7th Grade Families - Regis Jesuit cannot wait to meet you! It is hard to believe spring is here and summer is around the corner. Family Tours - 7th Grade Students Only - registration is now open - Regis Jesuit will be offering family tours throughout the spring for 7th grade families. We welcome and encourage families to visit campus and receive your first glimpse into our community. We have multiple dates to choose from.

Summer Kick-Off Event - Monday, June 2, 5:00-7:00 pm - 6th and 7th Grade Students - The Summer Kick-Off event will include BBQ, music, and outdoor games. This event is free, and it will also incorporate a “donation drive” for organizations who are partnered with our Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity Department. Regis Jesuit is excited to bring prospective students together to serve others, have fun, and build community!

My Spark Denver
My Spark Denver increases access to extracurricular programs for Denver Public School middle school students whose families qualify for free or reduced lunch. Eligible students and their families will receive a $1,000 debit card to enroll in participating programs. There are a variety of options such as sports, theater, music, art, coding, dance, martial arts, tutoring services, and more. For more information, visit the My Spark Website. Transportation Options

  • DPS Transportation - If your student qualifies for DPS Transportation (lives within enrollment zone AND 2.5 miles from school), you can sign up for transportation through your Parent Portal account. If you have any questions about DPS Transportation, please contact them at 730-423-4600 or visit the Transportation website.

  • Northeast Denver Carpool Group - Plan carpools with other families in the Park Hill/Central Park areas.

  • Way to Go Schoolpool - This is a free program for families to coordinate their own carpool. This option is ideal for families who live outside Central Park/Park Hill. Sign up for Schoolpool here.

  • RTD - Zero Fare for Youth - All students under the age of 19 can ride RTD buses free of charge. Students will need their school ID to ride for free. 

  • Bike to School! Many of our students ride their bikes to school and we have a great bike corral for safe keeping! Please make sure your student has a bike lock.
