All-School Musical - Annie, Jr.

The sun will come out tomorrow, you betcha! It's been a hard knock life for Annie and the orphans, but they will sing and dance their way into your hearts in this family-friendly, classic musical, Annie! Show begins at 6:00pm on April 28th-30th, and May 1st. Tickets are available HERE and can also be purchased at the door.

2025 Mandatory Parent/Student Meetings

For students enrolled in the 2025 trips, there will be a MANDATORY meeting for both parents and students in the auditorium. At this meeting, students will receive all final travel information including: roommate assignments, flight/airport information, final itinerary, and chaperone/group assignments. Drama Performance of Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to see this one-of-a-kind musical on the McAuliffe stage. Join us as we bring the African savanna to life with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

Tickets can be purchased through our theatre website. Remember, each class is a different cast performing on a specific date. Please click here for a master list of students and performance dates. We encourage you to double check this list to make sure you are purchasing tickets for the correct show.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Library News

The MIS Library has been busy!  This year Leah Kupersmit, Sana Mullin, Hope Troyer, June Mullin, McKell Dodds, Ava Rose, Quinn Perlmutter, Anna Li, Abbi Weigel, Anna Zakaryan, Lyla Kunkle, Sawyer Claypool, Mattie Schultz, and Alex Whiteley were student judges for the Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award.  In addition to reading nominated books, they participated in two meetings with students from schools throughout the state.  The "M-Cauliflower” group placed official votes for the award in early April.  The award was presented at the Colorado Teen Literacy Conference on April 5th.  Seven of our MIS judges, Leah Kupersmit, Sana Mullin, June Mullin, McKell Dodds, Anna Li, Mattie Schultz, and Alex Whiteley were on hand to help present the award and attend the conference.  

Leah Kupersmit, Sana Mullin, Hope Troyer, June Mullin, McKell Dodds, and Anna Li were also Assistant Editors for the DPS Poetry book that is being published in May through DPS Library Services.

Girls Summer Run Club

Calling all 6th-8th grade girls! Have some fun running and training this summer with McAuliffe alumni and current East Senior Rosie Mucharsky. Rosie is a 3-time state champion in cross country and track and has committed to run D1 for the University of Notre Dame this fall.

Runners will meet during the summer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays at the Museum of Nature & Science to train for cross country and other sports. Click HERE to learn more or to sign up. Contact Rosie at rosiemo02@icloud.com.

Regis Jesuit Admissions Information

6th and 7th Grade Families - Regis Jesuit cannot wait to meet you! It is hard to believe spring is here and summer is around the corner. We would love the opportunity to introduce you to Regis Jesuit High School and invite you to our campus. We hope you can join us for upcoming events for prospective students. Below you will find more details about these events and how to register!

Family Tours - 7th Grade Students Only - registration is now open - Regis Jesuit will be offering family tours throughout the spring for 7th grade families. We welcome and encourage families to visit campus and receive your first glimpse into our community. We have multiple dates to choose from.

Practice High School Placement Exam “HSPT” - Saturday, April 26, 8:30-11:30 am - 7th Grade Students Only - The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a required component of the admissions process for Denver Catholic high schools. Regis Jesuit is offering an opportunity for current 7th grade students to take a full practice version of the exam. Students will learn how they compare to other 7th grade students across the nation, gain important information on academic strengths and weaknesses, and proceed into 8th grade with a strong sense of focus and readiness.

Summer Kick-Off Event - Monday, June 2, 5:00-7:00 pm - 6th and 7th Grade Students - The Summer Kick-Off event will include BBQ, music, and outdoor games. This event is free, and it will also incorporate a “donation drive” for organizations who are partnered with our Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity Department. Regis Jesuit is excited to bring prospective students together to serve others, have fun, and build community!

My Spark Denver
My Spark Denver increases access to extracurricular programs for Denver Public School middle school students whose families qualify for free or reduced lunch. Eligible students and their families will receive a $1,000 debit card to enroll in participating programs. Transportation Options

  • DPS Transportation - If your student qualifies for DPS Transportation (lives within enrollment zone AND 2.5 miles from school), you can sign up for transportation through your Parent Portal account. If you have any questions about DPS Transportation, please contact them at 730-423-4600 or visit the Transportation website.

  • Northeast Denver Carpool Group - Plan carpools with other families in the Park Hill/Central Park areas.

  • Way to Go Schoolpool - This is a free program for families to coordinate their own carpool. This option is ideal for families who live outside Central Park/Park Hill. Sign up for Schoolpool here.

  • RTD - Zero Fare for Youth - All students under the age of 19 can ride RTD buses free of charge. Students will need their school ID to ride for free. 

  • Bike to School! Many of our students ride their bikes to school and we have a great bike corral for safe keeping! Please make sure your student has a bike lock.
