Department Branding Accessibility Updates

DPS branding is undergoing an accessibility overhaul to comply with Colorado House Bill 21-1110. The Communications team is ensuring all department branding meets visual accessibility standards, reflected in our updated Brand Snapshot and forthcoming DPS Brand Guidelines.

Each department manager will receive updated logos that align with our new brand guidelines. Most changes involve fonts and slight color adjustments, but departments using light green, dark orange or light orange must select a new compliant color. If your department currently uses light green, dark orange or light orange as its primary color, complete this Department Branding Request Form to choose your new color.

Departments will also receive:

  • Branded Letterhead Templates (Google Docs and Canva)

  • Branded Slide Deck Templates (Google Slides and Canva)

These templates will include instructions on updating logos and ensuring alt text is properly applied. All templates will be accessible upon delivery, and any modifications must maintain accessibility standards. If you have questions, email communications@dpsk12.org.

Understanding Conflict Behaviors

The Conflict Dynamics Profile for Individuals (CDP-I) is an assessment instrument measuring conflict behaviors. It is an excellent resource for increasing self-awareness and improving conflict management skills. The CDP-I is unlike any other assessment tool. It focuses specifically on conflict behaviors rather than on conflict styles. The CDP-I assessment helps individuals understand how they respond to conflict, what triggers can escalate conflict and how to manage conflicts more effectively.

To learn more about the assessment or to participate voluntarily in conflict coaching utilizing the CDP-I assessment, contact the Ombuds Office at 720-423-4776.

Our office will offer five visitors the ability to participate voluntarily in conflict coaching support.
