THE LINCOLN ELEMENTARY & MONTESSORI SCHOOL FIRST ANNUAL
2024-2025 SPELLING BEE IS HERE!
Dear Lincoln Elementary & Montessori School Community,
We are excited to announce that on January 24, 2025, Lincoln Elementary & Montessori School will host its First Annual Spelling Bee! The event will take place in the auditorium at 8:30 a.m., and we warmly invite parents, caregivers, and friends to join us in supporting our young spellers.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, all grades 1 through 6 students will participate in a grade-level spelling quiz featuring words selected from the appropriate grade-level lists (find lists in the Spelling Bee email sent out today). Our top spellers in grades 3 through 6, who will be announced on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, will earn the opportunity to compete in The Lincoln Elementary School Spelling Bee. Additionally, our outstanding spellers in 1st and 2nd grade will be recognized at The Spelling Bee on January 24th, with the chance to compete at the school-wide level when they reach 3rd grade.
The Lincoln Elementary Spelling Bee winner will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee Regional Spelling Bee Elimination Round. Regional winners will be able to progress to the Colorado State Spelling Bee, with the final rounds in March 2025.
For students who wish to expand their vocabulary and prepare further, we encourage you to visit the Scripps National Spelling Bee website at spellingbee.com for additional resources and information.
Best of luck to all participants, and we look forward to seeing you at The Bee!
Warm regards,
Shelley Dulsky

Ms. Catherine's Journey at Lincoln
Ms. Catherine is proudly celebrating her fourth year at Lincoln as a valued member of the Montessori Primary team and her 13th year in the teaching profession. Having spent much of her childhood in Seoul, Korea, she affectionately named her pug "Kimchi." As a mother to an energetic two-year-old named Bodhi, she embraces the joys of parenting. Her favorite aspect of teaching is fostering meaningful connections with her students that endure long after they leave her classroom.

Lincoln Chess Champs
We are incredibly proud of our Lincoln Chess Champs! Congratulations to Rayne, Vallyn, Mac, and Beckett for their exceptional teamwork and dedication. Over the past couple of months, they have worked tirelessly to qualify four players from Lincoln for a tournament, and they finally succeeded!
With four players representing the same school, they formed an official team, allowing their scores to contribute to the overall standings. We're thrilled to announce that they placed third and brought home a trophy for Lincoln!
