Dear Knapp Families,
On September 9th, our students took part in a practice Lockdown Drill. We hold these drills twice a year to help everyone feel prepared and safe. Teachers guided students through the process in a calm and age-appropriate way, with the goal of building confidence and safety without creating fear.
Yesterday’s tragic shooting at Evergreen High School is a difficult reminder of why we take this work so seriously. The safety of our students will always be our highest priority. To support this, you may notice some changes to our arrival and visitor procedures. These updates are meant to limit access to our building and strengthen the layers of protection that we have in place.
Thank you for partnering with us in keeping our school community safe. Together, we can make sure Knapp continues to be a place where students feel cared for and secure.
