Early Dismissal Reminder

As a reminder, we are not able to dismiss students after 2:20 PM. This has been our consistent practice to help ensure a safe and organized end to the school day.

During this time, the office is actively managing after-school program transitions and transportation dismissal. It is critical that we remain focused to ensure all students are in the correct location and accounted for.

If your child has an appointment, please plan to pick them up before 2:20 PM. After that time, students will remain with their class and be dismissed at the regular end-of-day dismissal with their Teacher.

Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us keep all students safe.

Family Reading Tip of the Week📚

Reread for Confidence

Ever wonder what it means for your child to read confidently and with fluency? It means they can read smoothly, at a steady pace, and with expression like they are talking, not just sounding out words.

After your child reads a sentence or paragraph, have them go back and read it one more time.

The second read helps them:

👉 Read more smoothly

👉 Build confidence

👉 Understand the story better

You can even say, “Let’s read that again and make it sound smooth!”

For our multilingual families:

Rereading in any language helps build fluency and understanding across both languages.

Attendance Matters

Every day counts! Being at school consistently helps students build skills, stay connected to learning, and grow in confidence. We also want to remind families that arriving on time is just as important. When students are late, they miss key parts of instruction and it can be hard to catch up.

As we move through the end of the year, your partnership in ensuring students are at school every day and on time makes a big difference.

Let’s Stay Connected!

At Knapp, we believe strong communication between our families and our school is essential to creating the best learning environment for our students. I want to hear from you!

Do you have ideas about how our school can improve? Is there something we could be doing better? If you have questions, feedback, or concerns, big or small, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your voice matters, and together, we can make our school even stronger.
