After reading, pick one word your child may not know well and spend a minute talking about it.

Ask:

“What do you think this word means?”

“Can you use it in your own sentence?”

“Where else might we hear this word?”

This helps build:

Vocabulary

Understanding of the text

Confidence using new language

Keep it simple: Just one word a day is enough to make an impact over time.

As we head into spring break, we hope this time provides an opportunity for rest, connection, and time together as a family. We appreciate your continued partnership and all that you do to support your child each day.

When we return, we will be entering an important stretch of the school year. Students will continue building on their learning and our older students will begin preparing for upcoming state assessments.

Consistent attendance will be especially important during this time, as daily instruction and practice directly support student confidence and success.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready to finish the year strong together.
