Dear Kaiser Families,
Thank you to all the families who joined us for Field Day today! We are so fortunate to have the most amazing PE teacher, Mrs. Mangrum, who incorporates so much fun and joy into this special event. I absolutely loved all the Super Mario themes throughout the day and seeing our students having such a great time. Days like today remind me how incredibly lucky I am to serve this amazing community.
I also want to celebrate some exciting news — our attendance is improving! This time last year, our overall attendance rate was 85.2%, and as of today, we are at 89%! Thank you, parents, for bringing your child(ren) to school every day and understanding how important consistent attendance is for both learning and fun. We truly can’t meet each child’s academic and social-emotional needs without their presence at school.
Thank you as well to all the families who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences this week! We will have another round of conferences on Tuesday, October 21st, from 3:00–7:00 PM, so please be sure to sign up with your child’s teacher if you haven’t already.
Looking ahead, we’re excited for our Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:45–2:30 PM. Parents are invited to enter through the Tufts gate and gather in the middle of the field to enjoy the parade. Students may bring their costumes and change into them in the afternoon.
We also have many Halloween costumes available in the front hallway for anyone in need, and we always welcome donations to ensure every child has a costume to enjoy the day.
Please note: There will be no school for students on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Have a wonderful weekend, and as always—for all our die-hard Bronco fans like me—
Go Broncos! 🧡💙
Warmly,
Mrs. Vasta
What is an excused absence?
An excused absence is when your child misses school for valid reasons such as illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other approved situations. Please be sure to notify the school and provide any necessary documentation.
What is NOT an excused absence?
Absences for reasons like vacations, oversleeping, or missing the bus without prior approval are considered unexcused and result in lost learning time.
Why is attendance so important?
Missing even a few minutes adds up quickly and can affect your child’s understanding of lessons, participation, and overall progress. We want to work with you to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed!
This is amazing progress!
