You'll hear from Ms. Frank (our Graduation Coordinator), Ms. Warren (our AP for the Class of 2024) the JFK Counseling Team, and our DSF College Advisors. Practice P/SAT Testing
Please see the schedule below for our upcoming P/SAT practice schedule the week of October 7.
PSAT 8/9 and PSAT-NMSQT Testing is coming up! Testing days are highly important for both our students and school.
On October 8, Freshmen will be taking the PSAT 8/9 test.
On October 9, Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT-NMSQT.
There will be a modified schedule for both of these days, and students will be released after testing is complete. Testing is expected to end around noon. If students require accommodations, their testing is expected to run a little longer, and case managers will be communicating those specific times on an individual basis. A detailed schedule will be available soon! Grab-and-go lunch will be available for students after they complete testing and before dismissal. DPS transportation will be available for students at 1:20 p.m. for students who ride the bus.
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors must bring their charged laptops and chargers to school on their testing day. Limited loaner laptops will be available.
Seniors have an opportunity to join DSF office hours on Tuesday, October 8 from 1:30-3:50 p.m., but they are NOT required to attend school on either October 8 and 9.
Guardians, please know that students are required by the State to participate in these assessments, unless they are officially opted out by a parent. Parents can opt their students out via the Parent Portal, but we encourage students to participate. Kennedy needs at least 95% of students taking these assessments in order to maintain or improve our School Performance Framework rating.
